Great facility, poor breakfast

My wife and I really like the hotel.
The room, staff and ambiance are terrific.
The big let-down is the buffet breakfast. All of the dishes are tepid, in fact the roasted tomatoes were still chilled in the centre!.
The only way of getting anything hot for breakfast was to have ones eggs made to order.
And to wait 45 minutes for a coffee just reflects the lack of a robust system in the breakfast room.

Excellent Service

Our group of two couples stayed at the Newcastle Crowne Plaza on the occasion of the Rolling Stones concert on 15th November 2014. We traveled from Brisbane by air on the Friday prior. Having made the booking on line and not having traveled to Newcastle for many years or the Hunter Valley, I contacted the hotel personally to enquire regards to airport transfers and transport to and from Hopevale Estate in the Hunter where the concert was to be held. Luke, as Head of the Concierge team looked after us extremely well, organising airport transfers and concert transport well prior to our arrival. Everything went seamlessly with things going exactly as planned. Luke also arranged a room upgrade at a very reasonable rate, without a request. Our stay was excellent with all the staff at the front desk, restaurants, and bars extremely friendly and very helpful. We were also able to arrange a 4:00pm late check out. From start to finish, my wife and I agreed it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed. the harbour view suites were comfotable and the view spectacular. Thanks to Luke and all the staff.
