It everything's broken, maybe consider renovating?

I must admit, this is one of the worst hotel experiences I"ve ever had.

After checking in, I went up to our room, only to notice that it sounded a bit...loud and was a bit..cold. Checking on the window, I noticed that, though it was shut, one of the handles was broken off, meaning there was still a crack through which both cold air and noise came in.

I tried to sleep through this the first night. I couldn't. The noise the slightly open window was letting in was way too loud, and the cold, though made up for by the heating, only added more noise.

The next day, I asked for the problem to be fixed. The staff apparently sent someone up to fix it, but alas, next time I was in the room, no fix was imminent. Cold air still blowing in, noise still coming in.

Add to this that the ambiance of the room was just generally unpleasant - no overhead light, really dim lamps that just gave everything an air of being dark and uncomfortable, no recycle bins, oh, and the lobby was absolutely freezing.

The one good thing is that the staff were absolutely amazing, really nice every time I needed something.

The AC DOWN FOR TWO NIGHTS. AND THE FIRST MAINTENANCE CAME AND CHECK, SAID IT WILL BE BACK TO WORK IN 10 MINUTES. And he will also come back to double check. Neither the maintenance came back nor the AC works.

Rock Hard beds, loud toilets and no internet service

We always stay at IHG properties when we travel. This one was disappointing.

The beds were rock hard. The flushing toilet made a high pitched sound that went on for 5 minutes. We were never able to connect to the internet while we were there on any device. We called the front desk and they were no help.

Great Hotel with Excellent Staff

Overall, I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The staff was professional, courteous and efficient. The theme of the hotel seemed to be relaxation and actually that is how I felt. This was achieved even after my arriving late in the evening and leaving first thing the next morning for a business meeting. However, during that time I found that my room, the hotel staff and the restaurant staff created an atmosphere of calm and excellence that allowed me to relax and have a successful meeting first thing the next day. I would definitely stay here again.
