updates needed!

I have stayed at this Crowne Plaza on two occasions in the last month. Here is a quick summary of my experience.

Customer Service- Front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant manager was wonderful. All but one of the lounge staff was friendly and provided great service.

Food- Amazing dinner and lunch. Breakfast all you can eat is the typical hotel buffet. It was good. They also have made to order menu.

Hotel and rooms- Located right off I84, which was great for us since we are not from the area. Entrance is to the rear of the property. Slightly awkward but irrelevant. The lobby is beautiful. Hallways could use some new carpet. In the room you will find the old loud heater units. Did not like this at all. They are located in the middle of the room and there is nothing to drown it out. The mattress I slept on one night was very comfortable and obviously new. On the second stay over it was obviously an old spring mattress and awful. We had other small problems with our room on our second stay over including exhaust fan not working and blow dryer shutting off after three minutes. On all stay overs room was very clean. Did not visit the pool area or use the business center.

The first stay was nice. Our second stay was not for many reasons including the ones listed above. The manager promptly addressed the situation at check out and accommodated us as we asked. Hopefully Crowne Plaza will invest money into updating the rooms. That would make this a perfect place to stay!

Not a typical quality Crowne Plaza stay

Definitely not the caliber of stay you would expect from a Crowne Plaza.

1) I reported that the printer in the business center wasn't working to the person at the front desk and told them I would be in the bar and to let me know when it was fixed. No one ever advise me it was fixed I had to go up and ask for myself.

2) I had to shove a towel under the bathroom door to keep it from hitting me in the back while I stood at the sink.

3) The bed lacked a thick comforter but instead got a plain thin blanket. I like a cool room, but appreciate a warm comforter, so turning the heat wasn't an option.

Other than the above issues, I did like this place and hope they can improve so I can consider them again.
