I arrived at the hotel at 3:55 pm for a 4:00 pm check-in and was told the room was not ready, come back in 15 minutes. They told me the floor I'd be on but not the room number, When I went back I was told the same thing. After doing this 3 times I was then told they didn't know when room would be ready, I just needed to keep checking! Finally after approximately an hour and a half at 5:30 pm I was able to check in. There also were signs posted on the counter "Early Check-in additional $75.00". Which I assume some people were paying!!
What I don't understand is why I couldn't check-in and come back for the room keys. Why did I have to keep coming back and standing in line.
This was not just my experience, there were several people having the same problem.

Comfortable beds, but horrible service

I stayed at this establishment and the room, ambiance, and cleanliness were above par. However the customer service, if you can call it that, received from the front desk staff did not meet my expectations of an establishment that was respected my business. From the rude phone conversation with the front desk regarding a request for a late checkout, that was blindly denied and followed by the front desk slamming the phone down as the disconnected; the nasty individual who answered at the front desk when we called with a random question. The vibe that I felt from the staff was very unwelcoming. When I requested to speak with a manager, that request was also denied. I get the feeling that the hotel was only happy to see me depart. In my opinion, the front desk staff needs more training regarding customer service.

Less than desireable

I was told that IHG Reward members could request to check-in early online 24 hours prior if rooms were available. I requested a 12:00 noon check-in time. When I arrived at the hotel I was told it would cost $75 to check-in early!!! I refused to pay that so I waited. I didn't end up checking in until 3:55 pm. The room was clean and looked fine. However the refrigerator in the room did not work. I called down to the front desk to inform them but no one would answer the phone. I finally went down to the front desk to inform them and was told that they would take care of it but nothing was done.

Dear startraveler2015, Our check in time starts at 4:00pm. Early check ins can be requested, however, we have no way to guarantee a room will be available for early check in.
